Macquarie University offers a range of scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Most have a strong emphasis on social inclusion and equity and are awarded on the basis of financial need and/or other hardship. Others recognise factors such as academic excellence or sporting achievement.

The Australian Government is currently preparing program guidelines for the new Indigenous Students Support Program (ISSP). In the meantime, Indigenous students with financial need may lodge an equity scholarship application via UAC.
Macquarie offers scholarships to support elite athletes entering or continuing study at Macquarie for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our program focuses on combining high performance sports involvement with tertiary education. In 2016, Macquarie University supported 120 international, national and state-level athletes, along with over 50 emerging athletes.
Macquarie is a member of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) network, and exhibits a diverse range of sports including motorsports, sailing, ice hockey, martial arts, floorball and more.
