Scholarships
Macquarie University offers a range of scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Most have a strong emphasis on social inclusion and equity and are awarded on the basis of financial need and/or other hardship. Others recognise factors such as academic excellence or sporting achievement.

Indigenous scholarships
The Australian Government provides funding for scholarships to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Applications for these scholarships are lodged via UAC equity scholarship application .
Sports scholarships
Macquarie offers scholarships to support elite athletes entering or continuing study at Macquarie for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our program focuses on combining high performance sports involvement with tertiary education.
Macquarie is a member of the Elite Athlete Friendly University (EAFU) network, and exhibits a diverse range of sports including motorsports, sailing, ice hockey, martial arts, floorball and more.
