Scholarships and financial support
We offer scholarships to students to address financial need or hardship, academic excellence, sporting achievement and in recognition of outstanding character. We can also provide financial assistance with loans and grants to students who have difficulty with basic living expenses and help with fees.
Macquarie University offers a range of scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Grants and loans
All students enrolled at Macquarie University are eligible to apply for a loan under a set of guidelines approved by the University Council.
Domestic fee assistance
If you are experiencing difficulties paying your student fees, you may wish to consider the payment options available to you.
US financial aid
If you are from the United States, Canada or Europe you may be able to apply for a student loan from your home country to cover the costs of studying at Macquarie.
High achievers are recognised through The Merit Scholars Program, which became known as the Merit List from 2016.
Prizes are Faculty and Department-governed awards given to students for Academic achievements in units or programs of study.
