Credit Overload

Credit Overload

Credit overload refers to the ability for students to study more than the standard number of credit points per study period.

If you wish to enrol in more than the standard number of credit points for a study period, you need academic approval. Please submit a Credit Overload form which is then forwarded to the appropriate faculty for approval before being processed by Student Connect.

Each application is assessed on the student's academic history, reason for the overload request, and the combination of units the student wishes to undertake during the overloaded session.

Once an application is approved and processed, you will be unable to alter your enrolment for that session. If you withdraw from a unit you have been granted an overload for previously, you will not be able to enrol in that extra unit again without submitting a new credit overload form.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application via your student email account.

Credit overload requests for the upcoming session(s) must be submitted by close of business Friday, Week 1 of study period.
