International Opportunities
PACE International is jointly managed by Macquarie University and Australian Volunteers International. It offers students a unique opportunity to actively contribute to more just, inclusive and sustainable societies through their participation with an international organisation.
Students undertaking a PACE International project will work in partnership with local people to assist them to meet their own goals. Our international partners develop projects that respond to needs identified by the community - they are key to all projects. By participating in a PACE International project our students will:
- Experience what it's like to live and work in a developing community
- Share knowledge and skills with others
- Contribute to positive change
- Become a global citizen
Eligibility to Participate
Projects with PACE International are open to all enrolled Macquarie University domestic and international students studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Macquarie University Exchange and Study Abroad students are also eligible to apply. There are three basic requirements to apply for any of our projects - applicants must have:
- Completed 1 semester at Macquarie
- A Macquarie GPA of 2.0 or above
- Be enrolled or eligible to enrol in a relevant unit (if an academic project)
