Students are not required to disclose anything about their disability and/or health condition and can choose what information is given to Academic staff.

Any information that you provide to the Disability Service or a Disability Advisor is confidential except when:

  • It is subpoenaed by a court, or
  • Failure to disclose information would place you or another person at risk, or
  • The University is required to forward identifying information to the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to satisfy funding and administrative requirements.

Disclosure is a dilemma most students with a disability and/or health condition face and one which presents a number of challenges and choices.
